Creating from Within ~ A post by Angela

It seems many people are under the impression you are not truely an artist unless you have spent years studying under masters or you have some sort of art degree. This has been a topic of discussion in our own family for some time. I truely feel,however, that some people have been given a gift from higher power. And when you know what that gift is you are meant to use it. Take my Mom, Christine, for example. She has this perfect and beautiful gift of creating art that shows the depth of life. Sometimes her works are whimsical in nature, other times you can almost see the soul of her creations. She was not given the opportunities in her younger years that many people take for granted. Yet she harnassed her skills and talent(gift) and never has given up. She is one of those people who just HAS what it takes. I am proud of her, through hard work and devotion, that she has not given up on herself. I hope you can see what I see in her beautiful paintings. She is a Master of her own creations.
